Alex Rabittson

Alex is a multi instrumentalist whose repertoire can span across decades and genres from song to song. He has spent countless hours crate digging to find hidden musical treasures from nearly forgotten artists . Elements of jazz permeate in every performance. Expect songs from jazz greats like Mose Allison and jazz influenced artists like JJ cale.


Brassworks has been reinvigorating the big band tradition to critical and popular acclaim, according to its members.  The eight brass musicians accompanied by rhythm section that make up this Orillia-based group are driven by an innovative spirit and a desire to get out of the house.

Chris Robinson

Chris Robinson is a Juno nominated tenor sax man who plays in a modern yet lyrical style. Has played with Peter Appleyard, Don Thompson, Bernie Senensky and Jackie Washington. His acclaimed CD “Pleased to Meet You” garnered Record of the Year by the London Free Press and Top 4o Favorites by JAZZFM91.1.

Colleen Allen

A multi talented musician, Colleen Allen makes her magic on alto, tenor and soprano sax, as well as the flute clarinet and accordion. Known for her skill and presence on stage, she is currently a member of Molly Johnson's band and has performed with a diverse array of artists such as Anne Murray, Holly Cole, Shirley Eikhard, Rita MacNeil, Gino Vanelli, John McDermott, Ani DiFranco and Cirque de Soleil.

Craig Manprize

Craig Mainprize is a multi-dimensional artist. When he's not performing original music, you can find him acting in plays and musicals. He is also an accomplished visual artist. Keep your eyes peeled for his artwork in cafes, restaurants, and museums in the Orillia and greater Toronto area. He has released three albums of original music, available on Apple Music and Spotify under the moniker Mainprize.

Danny McErlain

As a jazz player Danny endeavours to go beyond the rhythmic possibilities of the piano, to bring a harmonic palette and melodic lyricism to every instance whether solo or ensemble - to adorn, rather than distort the character of a piece of music.  A regular performer in Toronto’s established jazz rooms such as The Rex and The Home Smith Bar (Old Mill, Toronto).

Geoff Booth

Geoff Booth is a local singer-songwriter who defines his music as “innovative inspiration” – always melodious, adventurous and engaging.  His gatherings are always memorable and often feature musical guests, who help to make each gig unique and exciting.  Booth’s repertoire is drawn from a deep well of classic pop culture and no matter the season, his choices are tuned in and timely. 

Jazz Byrds

Myrelle Byrd, flute, and John Weston, guitar, have been working and playing together since 2011. Their partnership began when they first provided music for a wedding. Realizing they had diverse backgrounds in music that were compatible, decided to continue honing their arrangements and sound. It continually evolves as they work and study together. Their music is Chamber Jazz; sophisticated harmony and tasteful improvisations.

Joe Huron

Joe Huron has been a quiet force on the Canadian jazz scene for well over 25 years. Mr. Huron’s distinct voice on the guitar reflects a calm introspection behind a curtain of strong melodic play. Delivering warm tones; he expresses all that is true with an unhurried approach of a seasoned player. For the listener, we are all but happy to relax with his overall intent of inclusivity.

Juno Award winner John Johnson is one of the most in-demand musicians in Toronto. A highly-respected session player, John has performed with Molly Johnson, Holly Cole, Diane Krall, Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, Dionne Warwick, Peabo Bryson, Cal Dodd, Dianne Reeves, Bill Mays, the Flying Bulgar Klezmer Band, The Boss Brass, Manteca, and has appeared as a guest artist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra on numerous occasions.

Lance Anderson

Lance is a Juno award winning producer (Leahy) and the 2014 Maple Blues Award ‘Keyboardist of the Year’. He was trained as a classical composer and has both film and TV credits as a writer.

Shirantha Beddage

Two-time JUNO-nominated musician Shirantha Beddage is a baritone saxophonist, composer and educator from Toronto, Canada. His original music combines hard bop and modern jazz to create a sound that is both accessible and sophisticated.  Shirantha currently serves as Head of Theory and Harmony in the Humber College Bachelor of Music program, where he teaches courses in Music Theory, Pedagogy, and Ensemble.  Shirantha is a Yamaha artist and performs on the YBS-62.  Read Shirantha's complete bio at
